A 36-page catalog has been published by UCCS and Jay Shinn - available for purchase by the public. $20 per catalog includes shipping anywhere in the continental United States. This gorgeous publication includes an essay on Shinn's work by New York-based art critic Saul Ostrow.
Dallas and New York-based artist Jay Shinn was featured in GOCA121 - his first solo exhibition in Colorado.
With ties to art movements such as "Op-Art", geometric abstraction, color-field painting and light & space artists, the works in ILLUMINATED invited viewers to expand their perception. Shinn deftly handles his materials, transforming house paint, neon, projected light, plexiglass, and spray paint into singular spatial experiences.
